The military stressed that the public must act responsibly and adhere to guidelines, emphasizing that “they save lives.”
As of this writing, no physical injuries have been reported, though several individuals were being treated for anxiety, according to Magen David Adom.
Separately, ZAKA reported that a 25-year-old man died after losing consciousness during sirens in Ramat Gan. It was not immediately clear whether his death was directly linked to the alerts.
Footage released by MDA from impact sites across the country shows significant damage to buildings struck in the latest barrage.
Iranian missile barrages aim to maximize civilian unease
Earlier Wednesday, IDF Spokesperson Brig.-Gen. Effie Defrin warned of a potential coordinated attack against Israel during the Passover holiday.
Iran has repeatedly timed its missile launches toward nighttime hours and weekends, in what officials assess as a deliberate effort to heighten psychological pressure, disrupt daily life, and maximize civilian unease.
On Wednesday morning, sixteen people, including multiple children, were wounded by fragments that impacted in central Israel.
On Wednesday evening, MDA said that over the past 24 hours, its teams treated 72 people, including 50 with physical injuries and 22 suffering from anxiety.
Since Operation Roaring Lion began just over one month ago, MDA teams have treated 2,155 people, including 1,710 with physical injuries and 445 suffering from anxiety. Among those physically wounded, 534 were injured by missile fire, including 19 fatalities: 18 pronounced dead at the scene, and one who later died of wounds in the hospital.
